They say wish on a star you'll find your way
Just remember it's you who will make your day
Self reliance is like chicken soup for the soul
A reminder of how you get from broken to whole
Hey love is great a partner is a blessing
But let it be your addition like salad dressing
You make your breaks you decide your path
Gotta do this the whole way no need for way of half
I've lived this long so I'll keep living strong
I've known my way whether it's right or wrong
It's truly heartening the path of self discovery
When you say to yourself it's good because of me
I'll leave you with this as you walk on this road
Sure you need someone in life to lighten the load
But at the end of the day to an extent it's your story
You and I are not the only ones there were plenty before me

Love and care mix both you have it all
As good as the sound of your lovers last call
Feel the emotion and let it consume you
Only let it when it's right when its real and true
In my experience the right time is here
All I require is my baby being near
For the rest of you out there don't take it for granted

Downpour

Let it rain as I look in the sky
I swear the water isn't tears in my eyes
I ask for forgiveness and peace in my heart
This reason is here why we will be apart
As crazy as it seems as unreal as it sounds
All I'm feeling is this rain all around
I'm not feeling lost I'm not feelin sad
Just trying to avoid this rain not trying to feel bad
Looking for better days and the sun's full glow
Not sure where I am or where I'm going to go
Whether I'm losing my style or losing my grace
The rain can't hide the pain on my face
Getting ready to fight this like never before
It's a constant battle like a sudden downpour

Life not in a nutshell, but in a four course meal

You learn to live in good times or bad
All I'll remember is the good times we've had
You learn to be happy even in times of doubt
Sometimes we forget that love is what it's all about
I'll lose the idea to win the reality
Simplistically speaking in all actuality
I'm understanding that life is battles and wars
There's days when the heart sinks on others it soars
I just keep remembering what my momma said
Her thoughts remain with me as I go to bed
Life is but a dream my son just keep dreaming
It has to be real these dreams that I'm seeing
I'm hoping for the best never fearing for the worst
Not trying to look too hard to quench that thirst
Accepting but not relenting as the journey takes face
Not sure where I am but I think it's a good place

The proof of life is in what's in your heart

As I live with a smile knowing it was worthwhile

Question Existing

We all have questions in life don't we? Sometimes we can't find the answers to them, so we continue to ask, as life goes along we'll figure it out... but it always exists.

It's hard to explain what's passing by
When it's the who what when or why
These answers to questions that trump my mind
I wonder right now what is on the line
Wishing to the heavens it can be like before
I don't want to make this subject too sore
Belief in what's true is lost on me
I'm not sure if I'm truly ready to see
The end of the story that started so magic
That's ending in a way that's incredibly tragic
In this life it's said that we're born alone
Understanding the things that can't condone
What I put in isn't what I'm getting out
Not really getting what this life's about
At the end of the day need a cure to this cancer
Maybe it'll be this question that I get an answer

Greetings friends and other readers, I've been gone for awhile... a little sabbatical of sorts... but I have returned with some new perspective and some new stuff of course...stay tuned...





Legit to a science we pronounce the truth

So real to our conscience no need for proof

That we need to distinguish our time and place

No longer a divide between state and race

These issues are poison a kind so deadly

Not such a quick murder but one so steadily

I've seen the promise of something so great

Yet burned to rubble by visions of hate

It's not just about country it's more about global

Let's swallow our pride and learn to be noble

Can the strength of us all try to fight this menace

Change the landscape now for a positive presence

Not about America its about everyone

To understand that this fight has just begun

We must stand to protect what we hold so dearly

Until we stand up for that we'll never see clearly





This also applies to me, life is a dream and we truly never realize that, I'm hoping I do someday....
